Montegiovi (458 m. on the sea level) is an old village 10 km far from Arezzo, founded by the Etruscan and it has been inhabited since the Middle Ages.
In the 60s more than 60 people lived in the five houses of the village; there was a church, a school, a general store, and there where lots of farm families in the village and all around it.
The main crops were: olive-oil, wine, chestnuts, tobacco, corn, fruit.
Everybody had animals like poultry, cows and pigs.
Every house had a cowshed, a wood-burning oven, a fireplace…
